I was looking for a versatile all tube amp that doesn't cost as much as a new car...I really need a break from all this modeling and digital amps. Only exception is my Toneport UX1 that does a decent job for home using only.
Yesterday I have checked the candidates that were in the last round and the ENGL Screamer 50 won the race by far. With the optional floor board you get 4 Channels and two master volumes so you got another clean boost for the solos.
I still own a Marshall 1960 box so I guess I will be buying the TOP version.
You know, I have been playing in my Metal project for a while through the Marshall JCM 2000 top of the other guitarist and it felt great with only my TS808, Crybaby and my Tuner laying on the floor.
Still the year is young, but within the next month I will make my taxes and then we will see
Looking forward to playing a real amp again.
