A little something to help here :With the try version of this software you can record any You tube vid you want..http://applian.com/replay-media-catcher/demo.php

Then this software is for editing your vid and get a repeat of the licks you want to learn , if you need or want it..
http://virtualdub.sourceforge.net/

So, I think this a nice software combo to help practicing stuff...

Exemple :here s one i extracted from a 7.00 minutes lesson on Youtube then edited for a short lick ..

http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/10/31/1555652/OUT_5233abb1_videoplayback.avi1.mpg

here s the original youtube lesson :

Play it in loop now & practice hard ..

I will add to the list avidemux, it work for windows an linux, can edit diferent video files

How to do it?

  1. Open the file (avi, flv)
  2. see where is the start of the sample you wanna get
  3. scroll the time bar to that place and hit "selection: end" or the "B mark"
  4. go to edit->delete or hit supr key. Now you have deleted the first part of the video
  5. Scroll the B mark to the end and the A mark to the place where your sample ends and hit again supr (so you have deleted the start and end slices of the video and only left the sample you want)
  6. save the sample doing CTRL+S and give a new name

if you use firefox...sothink swf catcher will download any youtube or other flash based video.....I have a nice collection...but do not edit them so I cannot offer tips there as yet....but will try out some of the others mentioned in this thread.
