Here's a BYOC Classic Overdrive build that I extensively modified to be a direct clone of the highly regarded Hermida/Love Pedal Zen Drive (which sell for $200). The whole rundown on the modification (plus multiple "gut" shots) is here: http://www.byocelectronics.com/board/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=51111 . I basically built it just to show that this circuit mod could be done. Since I already have Zen Drive clone, I really have no need to keep this one, so it's up for sale (BTW, the two sound exactly alike when the controls are set up the same). The IC is an NE5532, which I'd read gave the smoothest and warmest overdrive tone in this circuit. Normally I am extremely skeptical of claims of one good quality dual op amp sounding noticeably better than another in a given overdrive circuit, but I auditioned several in this pedal and the NE5332 really did sound the best to my ear. For the finish, I just buffed up the enclosure on a "soft wheel" grinder at work, applied a full-face decal, and coated the top with Envirotex epoxy for a rock-hard finish. Came out pretty well, I think!

Yours for $95 including shipping to the CONUS; for other locations, I will provide a shipping cost quote upon request. No "zero post" customers accepted--you need to demonstrate prior activity here. PayPal payment only. Contact me by PM if interested.

This is an excellent deal! I'd have already grabbed it but money is tight for the next few months.
