Fender reissues the Bass VI! Any takers?

Anyone interested in the Bass VI reissue? I am, but it looks like it may cost over $2,000 USD. (ouch!)

Yeah tremoloman, that price tag kind of bites me too! If I was to spend over 2G on a new bass, I'd probably be going to something like a Zon Mosaic.

Much more likely is that my next bass will be either a G&L L-2000 or a Lakland Skyline 44-01 or 44-02.

I'm thinking of building my own Bass VI from the ground up. The guitar costs almost $2,600 and is only being offered in 3TS which I’m sick of. I’m sure a Bass VI clone could be built on my own with equal quality for less than half that price.

How about a Bass VI in Shell Pink, Seafoam Green, or Vintage White with matching headstock? Oh baby!

If the parts are readily available, I think I'm going to go for it.

Do any of you know where (if any) these parts are accessible?
