Interesting find! I have never seen that headstock shape before (what I can remember). The block inlays looks really nice, must be some kind of LP custom copy.

Needz moar info...

Set or bolt on neck? Any other distinguishing characteristics?

There's got to be a brand or a factory name somewhere. Have you pulled out a pickup or the control cavity cover to check?

How does she play? The headstock is throwing me. It's rather simple. Wouldn't it be cool if you got a one off, hand built copy that someone made in 1979?

It could be one of the myriad LP copies that came out of Japan in the '70s, but of course I could be wrong.

It has a bolt on neck-I have not taken it off or the pickups
it sounds great -going to bring it to the tech at gc this week to have it set up correct.
near as a match i could find is Silvertone/sears/kay branded guitars they had a simiilar headstock

Yea harmony ,kay, silverstone, sears have the same sort of headstock!

I would like to know what the pups markings are cause supro was part of those guits at the time also.:bravo:

Inside parts should reveal origin if asian.........what are the tuning pegs markings/and or name if any.

A pic of the inside with back cover off might help.
