I actually started this conversation with another Fret.net member in another thread and then realized it might be helpfull to those on a budget or just wanting to save some money... Audacity is a FREE Recording program that works under different platforms.. Mac, Windows, Linux.. it is not to difficult to setup and use to get those multi track clips up here on the net... check it out at http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ and don't forget to get a MP3 encoder for saving as mp3's... http://www-users.york.ac.uk/~raa110/audacity/lame.html

Heh, suprised its only just been mentioned. Audacity is what I've been using to record since I started to play guitar :P Its really simple (and somewhat basic) to use, but it gets the job done. For those of us who don't have alot of money, its a godsend.
