Getting a buzz from my setup

Playing an Epi LP into a Fender Champion 110.

Got the same buzz from a different amp with a single coil guitar.

The only common theme is that I was using the same cable, so I'm pretty sure it's that, but why? And what is a good cable to replace it with?

Swap out the cable to be sure. Cables go bad and it's fairly common.

There are lots of good cables on the market, and you don't have to spend a fortune, either. I use a mix of brands, but most of them are Live Wires. They're inexpensive, they sound good, and they hold up to being abused at gigs. I'm sure there will be other good suggestions to follow here.
