Just received this baby some minutes ago... you are the first to know! :happy

It is very sweet. I briefly plugged into my Marhshall, and it purred like small kitten for clean sounds, and roared like large tiger on the distortion channels! :AOK

The black pickguard got scratched immediately though... after a few minutes o jamming. But oh well, you can only tell up close.

Very nice Robert. What is it like playing with that tail piece. I have never tried one. Is it about the same thickness as a 335? Love the finish detail on the F holes. My Sheraton has those as well, but not my 335.
No more blues for you, only JAZZ now!

I never thought too much about the tail piece. It sure doesn't bother me!

I think the thickness is similar to a 335 - I haven't played one of those in decades so I my memory isn't that accurate. Perhaps Spudman will know.

Well, I might have to dig up some jazz chops now, although the guitar works great for blues as well.

A real beauty - and nice studio photography as well. C"mon, now, where are those clips? I've been waiting to hear you on a semi-hollow with humbuckers, and I KNOW it's gonna sound good.

Yep, I can almost hear it now!

HNGD, Robert! You might have swung me away from the Ibanez semi-hollow's to the Swede Viking!

Robert: I just had to see what these things are worth and where they are made. The price point seems very reasonable, Going by MF prices. The neck seems to be quite a thin profile, and the "resonator" fret board sounds interesting. The thin profile is not a bad thing for me. Good reviews on the stock pickups, and overall feel of the guitar.

Absolutely gorgeous guitar, Robert!

You know, that sunburst would look real purty next to my Strat. Could you send it to me for, erm, comparison purposes?

I was playing an original viking today, a 67 i thing $800. if anyone is interested let me know and I will get you a link to my buds store, a nice guitar indeed.

Very attractive guitar, RR! :AOK I assume a demo video is imminent!?! :poke

Will be interested in how you find that trapeze tailpiece affects tone & playability.

P.S. Now you can tell your friends that you're living with a couple of Hags.... :D

Congrats Robert and welcome to the club! I love the look of the sunburst! I can't wait to hear what you do with it clean, and when you add in some Rodent or ZYS!

I'm so excited for you to explore all the sweet tones this Rock Box can produce. Especially the one you find for yourself. Like this guy did.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VePdRxFY6iM He's playing through a 1970's Fender Vibrolux Silver face. A true classic That's about as basic an amp as your going to find. And it sounds like that:cool:

Oohhhh, I jammed with myself for an hour at lunch today... yummy, much better use of time than eating! I got some killer tones with my Marshall... must try to record tonight and share the love... this guitar is KILLER, my friends!

Beautiful...just beautiful, Robert.

It's great that Hagstrom has made a commitment to producing excellent guitars again. It would have been a shame if it had been otherwise.

Can't wait to hear the clips! :AOK
