So I was talking to a friend of mine this week about my lovely Childbride and her birthday tomorrow, and she asked how much older I was.

"Eight years", I answered.

"Well that's not so bad" she responded.

"Think of this way, when my son was born, she was 14 years old" I answered.

She said "Oh . . . it's a little creepy when you put it that way."

My great-grandfather was ~40 when he married my great-grandmother, who was ~20. Congrats (on your birthday) and condolences (well, for Shiner). This is also my little girl's fifth birthday. Doesn't seem possible.

i am enjoying an exceptional birthday. got to wear jeans to work, the weather is beautiful, and have had many very kind remembrances today. decided to play hooky and leave work early. in a few hours, shiner is taking me to dinner at the restaurant where he proposed on bended knee on my bday in '01.

I can't believe it, I wasn't on yesterday (or I don't recall being on) and I miss your birthday.

Well, from the Strum Bakery we give you two cakes. One represents your roots and the other is for the dark side.

the cake shows up as 2008 in photo bucket, but changes back to 2007, so it might not be fresh.

and while the guys always get the Bakery Gang, I figure you need something a little different.

I had three cakes, but someone ate the third.
