I will be home with the wife having our traditional New Year meal of steak, lobster and shrimp. My two kids (18 and 16) will join us for dinner and then go to parties. Use to be the kids just wanted pizza and the meal wasn't as expensive, but hey it's only once a year

Actually we had turkey, but I washed it down with a generous amount of Aalborg Taffel Aquavit (danish firewater).
Its a very effective medicine!

The Aalborg brand of Aquavit is highly recommended! Very tasty stuff.
I do have a bottle of linie aquavit, but I have yet to discover the difference in taste from non-equator experienced aquavit.

I better learn about that stuff. Norwegian is my most contiguous chunk of my mixed up American heritage, and the one I claim most often other than my ancestors from Tipperary! Hmm, Lefsa washed down with some Guiness, that might do it!
