In the 80s, I had a Hondo Randy Rhoads knock off. I put a Duncan Invader in it, and it sounded alright. This ad made me remember those days gone by...

Reminds me of the lyrics to a They Might Be Giants song:

I loves me some points, nevertheless.
 
I found a few interesting non-pointy guitars in the Moser Guitar website.

This one is original that appeals to my artsy-fartsy side...

Without pointy guitars you cannot get screaming solos.

Speaking of Dime.....above there is an ESP model that sure looks like Darrell's signature Washburn and Dean guitars.
 
I've never been a fan of pointy guitars, well I guess like the flying V, explore type etc. They sound good but just feel weird in my hands.
