Here's a quick recording test of my attenuator...Amptramp with pre and volume full up, all other controls at their usual setting with the gain boost on, Reverend Club King 290 with both pups on (to avoid hum), attenuator was set at normal TV levels.

One thing I noticed is that the slight "muddiness" is almost gone when recorded. I want to do a few more tests until I get a tone similar to what I hear live. This is pretty close, though! The Amptramp is not a gain beast, but it is a great blues amp.

Thoughts for the next test? Try it with the other pickup styles I have, and will also put in more treble to let more distortion sound show through. And less reverb...For some reason, the MP3 ended with more reverb than what I had in Cool Edit. Odd.
