I just decided to stick to some recent builds featuring the newer finishing theme I've pretty much standardized on. As great as the ZYS sounds, I think these newer pedals are a bit more visually appealing--and this was, after all, for a photo gallery.

Lots of components and a little crowded, but not hard. Nice warm tone, even if it's not analog.

That's great. Pedals in a mag and if you don't know it, you are well known in the Epi forum for amp mods (even before I mentioned I had a DVM Epi Jr.)

Actually, the ZYS is based directly on the BYOC Overdrive kit--uses pretty much everything but the stock enclosure. The extra features I add take up a fair amont of room, particularly the rotary switch and the perfboard for the added components, so it takes a larger box to hold it. But I'd still consider it a BYOC pedal, albeit a heavily modified one.

The Sonic Tonic doesn't have any BYOC content whatsoever--it's a GGG circuit board and I sourced all of the parts myself from my favorite online vendors.
