I could not control the G.A.S. I ordered the MIM 50s

Although I didn't really need an extra guitar right now, I could stand the need of a new Tele...

So I ordered the MIM 50's Tele in white blonde color:

I hope that it will be as beautiful as I see it on the pictures.

The only think that worries me is the vintage specs of the neck. I am used to play on 9.5" radius necks with medium jumbo frets and I am afraid that I will have some trouble in bending the strings (due to fretouts...)

When I get it on my hands I'll share some pictures and possibly a clip with you ;)

Nonsense. You know you need just one more. Don't fight it, just sit back and enjoy it. :p :p :D

(picking up jaw from floor)

Beautiful grain! A very sweet guitar Elias!!

I liked the mid and neck positions very much, your Tele likes the Pro Jr. very much I think!

May she give you many years of playing pleasure!! :DR

Thank you Abraxas ;)

I also didn't like the bridge position so much. It sounds to me a little harsh.

Probably I'll have to change this pickup...

Beautiful Tele! :D
I'm hearing more and more good things about the MIM Fenders, that the quality is great, and the finish on your Tele is outstanding!:)
I don't need another guitar either, but I've always wanted a white Strat.... hmmmmmm.....
Congrats on the axe, it looks like you'll be inspired for some time.
A new guitar always makes me want to play more..:R

I heard from another thread that the MIM Telecaster Standard body is routed to fit a humbucker in the neck position. How about the bridge position? Is it routed big enough for a humbucker also?

That's not true.

Take a look at my guitar without the pickguard:

It has the typical tele routing. I don't think that a humbucker would fit in the neck position.

The MIM Tele standard is made of alder, and probably has a different routing than the 50's Classic.

Probably I'll put a mini humbucker in mine too, so I'll have to route it...

I've just recorded another clip with my 50s Tele.

This time, I used a very simple (you could say "incorrect") recording method:

I plugged my Tele directly on my Behringer mixer which is connected on my Audiophile 2496...

I looped a drum-loop and played over it.

On the clip you will hear:

On the left channel: BRIDGE pickup
On the middle channel: BRIDGE + NECK pickup
On the right channel: NECK pickup

I've added some digital reverb on SONAR.

Here is the track:

Beautiful! :DR

In fact, if you add a bassline and perhaps spice it up with a bit of compression, etc, you almost have a complete song in your hands. :)

Always a pleasure to hear your clips elavd! The tele sounds great!
Very cozy music :)
