Actually what I had in my eye (left) was power steering fluid. My car has a hydraulic motor that is in the center of the fan and shares the power steering fluid line. It had a leak and in the process of repairing it, the fan shot little specs of fluid when spinning. I happened to be looking down in the area of the leak when I got a spec or two in the eye.

I went through a few days of eye washing and drops. The day I posted I noticed what at first I thought was my eye drops, but no I didn't put any in my eye.

Today I was under the car working on the exhaust system and got some rust and very very small drill shavings in my eye (yes, I wear safety glasses)

So - it's wash, rinse and repeat.
