I buy a lot of movies from the $5 bin at walmart. Some I've seen and some I haven't. The advantage of the DVDs is closed captions or subtitles. Yea, I'm hearing impaired so I don't enjoy going to movies or watching on tv with truckloads of ads. In fact I don't watch tv hardly.

With the closed captions I was able to get the parts I've been missing.

Happy days. :dance

They do have some great deals...if you can stomach shopping Walmart (which we sometimes do). We, thanks to our daughter, have a large rack of DVDs from there that she watches over and over. So ya, they are a good deal.

Over and over and over and over,My daughter watches the same movies, but we check them out at the library.Sumi:D

We have Netflix now so there is no more purchasing discs. Thank goodness. Our library is a little under stocked but that's always still a great idea. I haven't noticed if Netflix has closed caption or not.

I'll occasionally drop by the used movie section at Blockbuster (before they all close) and buy a few good movies in the 2-for-$10 and 2-for-$20 tables. Same with local pawn shops for about $5 ea.

If it is new or I'm not sure about a title, I'll try them first D/L'ing from piratebay.

Let's not talk about my VHS collections where I can pack 2-4 movies on each tape. :)

I put boxes of them out to the curb.
