This morning I left the house to find about 2" of snow (dusting). I thought nothing of it and took off for work. The first 10 minutes of the drive I passed five accidents. Three were just cars off the road, but two involved multiple vehicles. On the local freeways there were accidents everywhere, one involving 27 vehicles, including three tractor-trailers.
After heavier snowfalls in recent weeks, I think people underestimated the 2" of snow. I've always said it's this type of snow that becomes dangerous.
