Taking the number of guitars discussion the other direction.

Multiple questions:

1) For those that have two or more guitars - If you were told you could buy no more guitars and could only keep one of your existing guitars, which one would you keep and why?

*I would keep my Dot because out of the five, it produces the best blues tone.


2) To anyone with a guitar, if you were told you could keep only one guitar, but you had the option to buy a new one under $5,000, would you keep an existing guitar or buy a new one?


*If I could go out and buy one, probably be the Chet Atkins Tennessee Rose.

1) Godin Radiator. I just like it better than the Godin SD. Nice blues n' jazz at the neck, plenty o' twang & rock n' roll at the bridge.

2) H#ll yeah, I'd take the 5 grand! My guitars cost $150 (Radiator) & $170 (SD). There are plenty of guitars that I'm drooling over at far less than 5 big ones.

1) Since I've paid on it I feel it qualifies, but don't have it yet in my possession, my Ernie Ball Musicman Luke would be the one. Why? It does it all baby. And...since I don't have to get rid of any of the others I'd be a very happy man.

2) I'd keep the Luke or get the Luke with the piezo option.

Man I have some pretty unique stuff that would be nearly impossable to replace so this is a hard one.
I guess it would be one of the Washburn USA MG's and between the 120 and 122.

Both are 1995's.

Keep what I have or take anything out there up to $5000? If I had to actually keep and play it forever I would keep the Washburn USA MG.
These 1994-1996 Washburn USA MG series guitars are my :rockon: and every time I get away from um I keep coming back and buying another one so :beer:

1. Do I get to keep electricity? If yes, I'd keep my Strat. If not, I'd keep my Ibanez acoustic.

2. Do I get to keep electricity? If yes, a Carvin California, but not like Duhvoodooman's. I want a Floyd and a deep red sunburst finish.
If no, I want a Taylor.
I won't sound much different, though, either way......

My choice was about $2,300. The only reason I put a cap on the amount was so someone didn't go out and buy one with a cigarette burn.

I'd have to keep my ol' Yamaha FG160E, it was my Dad's and handed down to me. Besides, you can take it anywhere - no batteries required :beer:

I'd take the 5-Large and buy a really nice Strat - but I'm keepin' my Yamaha acoustic - you can pry it from my cold, dead hands unch::nono:

2) Carvin Cali Carved-top CT6M, with that gorgeous quilted maple top with the deep blue triple-step stain finish. :drool: And I'll have over $3,000 left over to buy more picks than GG has! :AOK:

I'd keep my Fender Showmaster. It's by far the best guitar I have, it sounds and plays by far the best.

$5,000 is an awful lot of cash. I can't even imagine having that much to spend on something non-essential. I'd have to try out some guitars, but I'd certainly lean towards this: Jackson RR1 Rhoads.
