Well, I already know Brian Krashpad. I post as "Minitruth" in other places.
I'm 44, been playing about a year. I'm an oddball, because I only write
original material. I'm not good, but I play several hours a day- Hopefully I'll
get a bit good sometime soon. I might try to learn one cover, though. Syd
Barrett's "Vegetable Man" sort of reached me. I have a lot of cheapo guitars
and gear, so laugh at me now. How am I doing so far?

Sounds like you'll fit right in. Welcome!

Warren, some flapjacks please!

Welcome Unperson. Sounds like you picked up the guitar and ran with it. You must be a fast learner.

If I was good, I'd say "yes" but the truth is that the learning curve for
guitar, bass, keyboard, Vox, recording and all the technical stuff for
each, all at once is really steep.:o

BwaAAAHHAaahahHahahaa, hooo boy you unkill me! :D

Any friend of Syd Barrett (not to mention Brian Krashpad) is a friend of mine.

I've been playing for about a year and a half & am about your age. Several hours a day?! That's fantastic. Writing your own stuff? I'm very impressed.

Welcome!

heheheheeheeheeHeeHeeHEEHEEHEEHAWHAWHAWAHHAHAHA!!!:D :R :DR
WELCOME, Unperson!!!

I love it! I've got lots of gear that didn't cost much. It's sorta my specialty, because working construction and being away from home a week at a time, I have to have gear to play that I can leave at the camper and not be out a bazillion dollars if something were to happen to it.
Bargain gear is great. Glad you joined us!!!

Welcome to the forum of forums, Unperson!
All my gear so far is extremely cheap, but I love it all!

Hey Rick, welcome!

It figures that the one new person I don't respond to right away is someone I know, sorry. Thanks for coming over. Speaking of taking forever to get around to things, I finally got around to responding to your PM about that song, check over at HC. We've been kinda buried at work and though I can get away with little 2-minute posts, I wanted to devote some time to listening and responding in a way that will hopefully be helpful to you.
