thanks, that was interesting. I remember the Super Beatles. I thought they were tube. I owned a Dual Showman back then. I think I was kind of jealous of the Super Beatles. Right now, I'd take the Showman if the Super Beat's were solid state, I guess.

I had a Valvetronix recently, and for solid state it was GREAT. Oddly, Vox makes a $130 amp called Pathfinder. It is solid state, kind of loud for 15 watts, clean, but its greatest quality is SPEAKER. It's a blue bulldog and is FABULOUS. I love that speaker. I think it's akin to the original Blue speaker Vox used way back. Wow.
