The current Paris Hilton coverage proves that the USA is Rome just before the fall.

The American people have their attention focused on the things that really don't matter and let the 800 lb gorilla in the room sleep. One of these days the gorilla is going to wake up and he will be hungry and pi**ed off. I really don't want to get started on a rant so let me stop here. Unless the discussion goes further. Happy 100th post!

I would guess that almost any real-world experience would accomplish that. This is a young woman who appears to have no concept of how the other 99.9% of us live, nor any interest in anything other than herself. Sad and tragic way to li ve, actually....oldguy said:....it's helping her to "grow", maybe be a better person.

We used to watch it. The people pretty much knew what they were gonna get. It was often funny.ShortBuSX said:Have you ever seen her show? I mean have you ever really watched it?
I think thats the idea behind it, have them visit with "real people"...I think its totally hillarious! Like a modern day Lucy and Ethel. Dont get me wrong, I dont condone her behavior and Im not a "fan"...its a trainwreck! Everybody loves a good trainwreck, no?
