Thats actually a two-point bridge, which predates the 3-point. Even worse. The problem with the 2-point is that after time, it starts to roll forward from the string tension. After 40 years on my EB-3, the bridge twist ended up raising the action and affecting the intonation. The tech I took it to for a setup removed the mute assembly, which made it even worse. I ended up putting the mute back on and filing down the bridge in strategic spots to restore the string positions to their original specs. The mute now acts as a third point of support, giving it greater sustain.
