I've always loved this in music videos.

The Church's "Under The Milky Way" is one of my favorite tunes and it's a blast to play on a guitar.

Moving to the 21st Century, I love this riff from Franz Ferdinand's "Walk Away." I had to learn the song as soon as I heard it.

In addition to the above mentioned (I prefered the Church to INXS, but listened to both) seems like in the late 80s I listened to U2, REM, B52s, went retro with some late 70s, early 80s punk/wave stuff, got into SRV, discovered alt adult like Cowboy Junkies and Michelle Shocked, more local (Seattle) blues, and ska and reggae. Also, some Suicidal Tendencies, Pixies, X, Jane's Addiction, and Chili Peppers.

What about the Fixx? They had several hits in the 80s...very popular at the time. Sounds very Strat driven, and the other instruments(and singer) compliment that tone nicely(atleast thats my opinion).

One Thing Leads to Another Great rythym! I think Id like to learn that one!

Stand or Fall
Stand or Fall(live) Awesome lookin Strat in this clip!

There are over a dozen more Fixx tunes I could post, deffinately worth checking out...love that tone!

Now that you mention it, I do like the Fixx. "Red Skies" especially. Somtimes VH1 classic will have an hour or so showing 80s alternative. At the time, I wasn't really into it, but I enjoy watching it now.
