Mac Garageband - Need some help

Hey guys,
At the moment I am recording by plugging my guitar into my amp then from amp to the computer. But I cant hear my guitar through the computer speakers until I finish recording and press play.

Can you help me? I know what I need to do but I don't know how to do it lol.

You have to turn on the monitor in the menu on the lower right at the bottom of the "track info".
