I love these sounds. I've been exploring some of this arpeggio substitution stuff over the past year or two and I really like the sounds you can get with some of these.

I was reading some articles by Larry Carlton (one of my favorite players) and he uses these kinds of techniques. That Maj7 over the b7 degree gives it a really cool sound. It works great when you're playing over a dominant chords with a sus4 also. I hear George Benson going for that sound in his solos too.

Some other cool substitutions that I've found for dominant7 chords is to play minor7 arpeggios over the 5th and 6th degrees. You probably know most of these already, but I though that I would add that for anyone else who might be new to the whole concept of substituting different arpeggios over chords.
