Mallory 150 caps

What is an easy way to find the outer tail (end) wrap of these Mallory's.
I have no osciliscope.
Would like to know so I can insert them correctly for lowest noise.

From what I understand, using the 'scope is the easy way. Some of the manufacturers state that they do not mark their caps one way or the other. So the only way to be sure is to check them with a 'scope. You might try emailing or calling Mallory to see if this is in fact the case with their caps.

Aiken says that the outside end is banded, but I've heard that orange drop caps are not marked one way or the other. Might be worth an email to Mallory to find out for sure.
