Mini to Super-Mini amphs or equivalent?

Into the next year I will be spending some time in my native France, and will of course want to have some basic guitar setup there.
I will need an amph for bedroom practice, and want to avoid using headphones as my hearing is already borderline as it is...

- what are the very small SS combo choices? I see some Vox models fitting that description.

- going with a tiny head, and a locally made crude cab, instead?

- other solutions, maybe based on the small Vox headphone preamp, or similar..?

I think this is where Roland Cubes really shine. Small size and versatility. There's even the Micro Cube that'll run on batteries. With their amp models and digital effects, they're not one-trick ponies.

The Fender Mustang series sounds really good. The Mustang 1 is 15 watts with plenty of amp models for $100 US. I downloaded a few user created patches to mine to replace the ones I didn't use. They now have a Mustang Mini, but I don't know how is sounds.

I've had several small modeling amps, but this one is by far the best buy, IMO.

If you want something a little nicer with tubes, the Super Champ XD is the best overall choice.

I've tried several small amps, for me the Yamaha THR10 is the best I've ever tried, it sounds amazing and is really versatile. I won't go on too much as there are specific threads about it but I really don't think it can be beaten. Well, after a few weeks using the new Super Champ X2, I'm still blown away by the great models on channel 2. The tube circuits keeps the tube amp feel and touch sensitivity.

However, I've finally been playing with channel 1, the simple pure tube Champ amplifier circuit. It is just as sweet as the standard Champ, takes pedals extremely well, and makes this amp a 2 (actually 17) for the price of 1 purchase. This is the best amp I've ever owned, hands down.

I'd never heard of these before today. Had a look at their website, plus a bunch of reviews and youtube demos. Seems a pretty incredible unit - everything from 1/4 watt prac amp up to 50w head to drive a cab. Impressive stuff. Of course, the thing to spoil it will be that it'll cost a fortune to ship to Aus.
