I thought we could start a color grouping thread of our guitars. I'm going to start with a "blue guitar" thread. Not 'blues guitar', but blue guitar. All submissions to this thread should be blue(ish).

We can also have separate threads like 'my red guitar', 'my sunbursts', 'my white' and so on.

For this first submission I'd like to present the Aria STG8.
This was acquired from an importer that these had been mistakenly shipped to. They were blowing them out so I went through a pile of boxes and picked the best one. I can't find information on these anywhere. Very unique.

The pickups are coil tapped with mini switches, 3 way selector switch, solid alder, thick rosewood fretboard, Floyd tremolo, one piece maple neck and no name tuners. Metallic blue of course.

Nice blue guitars everyone!

Spud, I have played on a couple of Aria´s and they all have been well built. Must be a 80´s model?

Hey Plank, just finally looked beyond the guitar there. Nice neighborhood! I like all the trees! Looks a little like my old hometown backyards.

I basically live in a State Forest - it's right across my fence. My yard is full of trees and it's nice in the summer - lots of leaves to rake in the fall and winter, though.

Warren,

Thanks.

I actually got the Aria new 1 year ago. The only place that I have found anything on them is in Europe. I don't think they were ever released in the States.

I havent seen a new Aria for a long time (not here at least), are you sure it was factory new? Aria Pro II makes a lot of good guitars too, especially their strat knockoffs are good sounding.

Ibanez s470 Jewel Blue

I love this guitar. It is the only guitar I own that while I was playing it someone came out of the audience to tell me that it was the best live guitar sound they had ever heard. Of course they didn't say anything about my playing.
Everything is completely stock.

One more for grins, although it's a terrible picture. Still you can get a sense of the top on it.

Ibanez SCR220. Fun to play. The scale length is the same as a Les Paul. The neck radius feels like a Fender. All mahogany and light.

It's blue. It's green.....................it's somewhere in between......
Cool, Spanky--you can use it again when somebody starts the "Green Guitar" thread!

Spuds: No fair--you got more blue guitars than I have guitars, period. I love that S470; if I ever buy a "shredder" with a FR tailpiece, it'll probably be one like that. That Samick is an interesting shape & layout....LP meets Tele.

F_BSurfer: I like that dark shade of blue! Subtle & classy.
