My Current Project: The Hippie Strat Finished Now (Update 4/30/11)

[Perfect Stranger]

Here are a few pix of my current project. I call it the Hippie Strat for obvious reasons. Nothing special, really.
Just a goofy project to keep my busy. However, it will play and sound great by the time I'm finished with it.

*Update* She's finished! I added a left-handed MIM Fender Strat neck, my homage to the biggest hippie, Jimi Hendrix.
She plays like butter....and sounds pretty good, although I may change the pups later on. Now it just a set of Dragonfire
pups. But they do the job.

BTW, I made the pickguard...in case anyone is wondering.
Better pix when I finish it.....

Pretty kewl! I'd suggest signal orange, yellow and green pickup covers and knobs too. And some carvings/burned-in art on the body maybe?

That pickguard really fracks with my eyes in the pic...quite cool

He did focus, Ch0... It's the awesome psychedelic effect of the pickguard that's distorting your perception of reality (lol).
