I just made a deal, via CL, for a straight trade:
My Crate V5 (modded electronics) with an Emenence Ramrod speaker for a Vox AD15VT Valvetronix amp.
Prior to today, I had only played thru one of these Vox amps, maybe, one time before, and maybe for 1 or 2 mins at the most... Today, once I got it home, played thru this one for almost 2 hours! I love this thing! What the heck what I thinking, bypassing these things at GC for so long? :mybad

Are the VT series as good sounding as the AD series? Anyone else got one of these? Do the AD30VT or the AD50VT sound just a good? What about the VT30 or the VT50? This has got to be the best sounding modeling amp with built in effects that I have ever heard, and the best sounding amp with an 8" speaker. I love this amp! (sorry, getting redundant!) :dance :dance :dance

Congrats! I have a VT30 and it is a great amph! From what I understand the VTx series is the new version of the ADx and Vox also introduced the VT+ series. One thing I have noticed about my VT30 is that you really have to play around with the volume/gain/etc on each model to make them shine.

Enjoy your new amph!! :dude

One of the best parts of the amp (I just can't seem to use that word with the "h" on the end! LOL), IMHO, were the preset amp models. After reading through the manual, I understood better what the aim of all of it was, for example the Blackface, you have to turn up the master volume to do it justice, because of the Valve Reactor circuit. The Valve Reactor is connected to the circuit on the output side, at the end of the modeling chain, so the volume adds to the effect of the modeled amp. Another think that I like about the amp is the noise reduction circuit, never had anything like that (built in or stomp) before, really cool. Saddly, my other amps have missed me this weekend, because the only one I've played with is the "Diamond Mistress."
Anyway, thanks.

I have played this amp throughout several sessions. Absolutely great sounding.
Congratz!
