Camrose, Alberta, Canada - used to be Umea Sweden.
Met with SYO - really enjoyed that, but we forgot to take pictures! :thwap

I met with Armor Gold Cables, Line 6, among many others. I also tried some great pedals - Diamond pedals and Jack Deville, etc.

I saw a lot and tried plenty, but I didn't even see half of what is here...\

I tried that Gibson Firebird X but I didn't understand it. May go back tomorrow to learn more.

I test the Mustang I from Fender. Sounded alright, but I didn't enjoy playing through headpones. The guy demoing it had a pretty good sound though. Worth a look.

Tomorrow I will test more gear and report back.

Thanks for the updates Robert. I'd love to go to a show like that some day.

(although what the fudge are you doing meeting fretters and not taking pic's tsk tsk tsk)

Where's the YouTube link Sir ;)

I would have loved to have been there for that, I bet it was awesome :dude

I wonder how many people at NAMM recognize Robert from U-toob and the interwebz?

"Hey, there goes Robert "Veins" Renman from Dolphin Street dot com!"

No video of this jam as far as I know.
First no photos with SYO. Now no video of the purported Wein-Renman jam. personally, I think you're still in Camrose makin' all this stuff up.... :poke ;)

I can imagine. "Hello, ladies! Seen me on YouTube?? Whaddya think of these veins? Impressive, eh? Ever had a Swedish Canuck? Hop right in the limo here...." :thwap

Is "limos and girls" K0de for hookers 'n blow?

It's Anaheim. They don't have any official hookers, but they all are in one way or another. If the show was in Vegas, however, that might be where our money was going.:whatever:

I'll bet he comes home packin some new effects and running shoes though. I wonder how he'll afford them on a programmers salary? :socool

Well I know that I don't have pictures either however I can verify that he is here and came alone. Unless you count the half dozen young blondes surrounding him followed by a second crowd of fawning yes men. Once I fought through several blondes (politely of course) to greet him, he granted me an interview after displaying his legendary veins as proof of his position. All of this is completely true except perhaps for the parts about the blondes and the yes men. I may have embellished a little here but you can run with it if you like :D

Quite honestly, our Robert was the best part of the show for me. We sat outside in the sunshine and had a pleasant conversation away from the crowds and the hyperactivity. The shoulder massage from one of the blondes was a real treat too. Thanks Robert!

I have been coming to NAMM for the last 6 years or so and I have to say every year I like it less. This year was almost painful in several ways, but meeting up with Robert and some of my other friends here makes it worth it.
The crowds, hype and generally uncreative business side of things aren't really my bag.

You should have waited until the parties to chill with Robert and his entourage (all his peep's) for a really wild time.
