Need a new way to power my pedals

My 1-Spot adapter has worked great for over 6 years now. However, the years are starting to show - the cables are a bit damaged here and there, and some static issues have developed over the years. In other words, it's time to replace.

I could get a new 1-Spot, or I could switch to something else. What do you recommend? The VoodoooLab Pedal Power 2 seems to be solid and highly regarded. I'm sure there many options out there these days, so let me know if you have any suggestions.

That Voodoo Labs unit is very good from all I hear, though far from cheap. When I outgrew my 1-Spot, I shopped around and bought one of these for $75 less:

I don't own it, but I think the Dunlop DC Brick is also a very popular option.

I've heard good things about the VooDooLabs Pedal Power. I have been using a BBE Supa Charger for about three years now and love it. I was going to get a VooDooLabs but I found a company selling new BBEs on Ebay for like $100. I couldn't pass it up.

Id have to 2nd the Dunlop Power Brick, I also dont own one. But I do know several people who has and when Ive talked about these things. They all say dont waste your money exployerin go with DPR.

I recently purchased a small Gator powered pedal board. It came with a really nice soft carry case and a nice power supply. The power supply has eight 9 volt and three 18 volt outlets. I think it was about $110 ? Most power supply bricks are more than that without a board and bag

I have the pedal power 2 and love it. It's really cool that you can change levels for pedals that take 12v and 18v.

Voodoo Labs PP2 for US magic or T Rex Fuel Tank if you prefer euro dinosaurs. Both supply clean isolated outputs unlike a lot of (albeit cheaper) alternatives and have a huge array of adapter cables available for those "odd" boxes.

I went the same route as Vood, 'cept I bought the pedalboard, cordura carry bag, power supply, cables, and got a cool sticker too. $99 @ a local mom 'n pop store. I've been very happy w/ it as well. :thumbsup

The third photo looks like it would hold a set up that would fit my needs. I could build my own and just use my OneSpot, but frankly, I am not that into spending the time, and would like a nicer, neater alternative. Spending an hour of my work day looking for an old suitcase costs more than this unit, and I don't really want to spend my free time on it either. I would rather play. :dance

I'm leaning towards the Pedal Power 2... my Pedaltrain 2 pedalboard has attachments for it even. Might as well go with the best and the most flexible, so I don't have the slap my head later... :thwap

Hmm, the soft case version of the PT-2 looks nice. Wish they made a powered version with a soft case. I do not need or want a flight case. I could always use my OneSpot with the PT-2 SC though.

Those mounts also fit the BBE. I think the PP2 is a little more flexible, but the price difference made the BBE an easy decision. You won't be disappointed with the PP2.

The board itself looks really nice and durable, like it might fit Boss pedals as well as the Behringer. One thing though, I have Behringer's version of the OneSpot power adaptor, not very quiet, I'm afraid. If I use it to power just a few pedals, in particular my Washburn pedals, there is a squeal (high pitched) that comes thru when they are on (true bypass pedals). When the pedals are run off batts, they are quiet. I suspect that it has to do with the load, 'cause if both daisy-chain cables are used to capacity, it seems to be quiet. Maybe it is just quiet when used with the Behringer pedals, and it is noisy with other manufacturers pedals... Don't quite know, but it just does not seem to be as high quality, like the OneSpot or the others. It is cheaper than the OneSpot, I think that I paid $15 or so for it off Ebay.
