I was getting rather tired of the thin sound of my Godin so I took the train to a nice music store today. I played quite a few guitars but what really catched my eyes was a pitch black Schecter C-1 Elite. Wonderful guitar! I flashed el credito and *boom* was on the train back home with a smile on my face :)

The retail price here is over 1200 usd! Anyway, I got a good deal on mine. 700 usd (it was a exhibition model, but really in mint condition). I´ve seen that you can get this guitar for 599 in the US, I highly recommend it!

More info on the C-1 Elite:

A review is coming up real soon...

Cranium, it has two duncan design humbuckers. It is the hb-104 which basically is a set of JB + Jazz but made in some chinese (?) sweatshop. They sound so rich & full. Very creamy sound! They sound great when I split the coils as well.. Guitars are so much more expensive here, so I think I made a good deal on this baby...

Robert, the godin had a twang to kill for ;) But I really needed a more jazzy sound. The c-1 elite was certainly the cure for thin tone ! :D

Congrats Swede!! Very nice looking guitar.. look forward to the review and some screaming solo's or jazzy standards... ;)

Thanks all... I´m very satisfied so far! Review is coming up, and perhaps a clip or two as well...

Cool guitar. Those get some pretty good reviews on Harmony Central. The binding on those guitars is pretty awesome too.

That's a great looking axe you got yourself, SS. You'll definitely turn some heads on jam night with that baby. ;)

Very cool guitar , schecter has always made excellent instruments , Townsend played a schecter for a bit in the 80's i think , back then they were among the best of the new guitar companies ..does it have a bolt on , or set neck?

Here is a couple of quick shots of the C-1 Elite. I think the abalone bindings are very tasty.

Thanks Tone!
Its all mahogany so its pretty heavy. Im already getting some of that mahogany shoulder syndrome....

Schecters are really cool guitars, I mean the looks, I thought of buying one too, but they're hard to get in germany.

Hey Super, the other day they had your guitar almost like yours in Guitar Center and I picked it up and played it. It's pretty cool and it looks awesome in person. I like the contours on the neck/body joint. The inlays are like WOW. Which model was that one? It was really contoured at the neck and it was a Schecter.

SS, VERY nice looking axe! With a mahogany body, set neck, and string-through I bet it ssssuuussssttaaiinsss forever.:)
Glenn

Tone, hard to say which model. There is quite a few like mine, you can check the text on the truss cover. Schecters website has pics of all their guitars as well..

Oldguy, yeah the sustain is awesome!
