Hi everyone, my name is Reeve. I'm a 54-year-old guy who's been a musician since I was 10—I play the saxophone and bass. Now I want to start playing the guitar (it's never too late, right?). I hope to learn a lot from all of you.

Welcome Reeve! It's never too late! What music are you in to?
I like all kinds of music. I’ve always played jazz on the saxophone and bass, but on the guitar I’d like to play pop-rock covers from the 80s and 90s.

Cheers Reeve! It's great to hear about folks getting into guitar at any age. I started as a teenager, began joining "party bands" in law school (not great timing for my GPA, haha) and finally started gigging in originals bands about 10 years later.

Don't worry about not being "good enough." Just keep challenging yourself and you'll grow. Also, if you are fortunate enough to live in an area where there are others to play with, in whatever context, go for it! For me at least, playing with others is how I learn best.

I'm 68 and in three bands!
