Nice work!! Better you than me.

Thanks!

Some serious sweat equity and juggling the logistics of the whole thing. It's looking righteous........................and I almost feel like I'm walking into someone else's kitchen. :D

Great job, Plank! :AOK

Now, save those brownie points you've earned for just the right moment, Plank. Not too long or your wife will have lost that "new kitchen glow", but long enough to cash in on something you really want!

I made an advance withdrawal last year - a new amph and a new Les Paul. I'm working off my debt.......................

Backsplash is installed! A lot of cutting tiles around switch / outlet boxes and cabinets. it took myself and a friend all day yesterday. My wet saw is certifiably worth its weight in gold! Going to grout the tile on Friday. All that's left to do after grout is to silicone the tile borders and install the switch / outlet plates....................SO close! :dude

Almost too pretty to cover, but I'm putting a 19' flat screen TV here:

The flash photos do not do this justice. It looks amazing with the under cabinet lights on.

Jumping in late here, but.. WOW... that is a beautiful kitchen... very well done!

We've just launched our "home pub" plans.. I might share that as we progress.. :-)

Thanks, Mainestratman! I'm so close to being finished I can almost taste it! LOL! I'll post before and after pics when I wrap this up.

By all means share your progress on the "home pub". That sounds like a very cool project.

I have this.. "thing" for textures... incorporating the natural wood, stainless steel and stone is brilliant.. who would have thought those distinctly different textures would create such a warm room? :-)

The pub will be slow going... we have to wait for the snow to melt before we can start gathering materials... we're recycling old barnboard for the bar and barback... plus we need to start stocking up on laminate flooring, which ain't cheap, to fill a 500 sqft area. :-)

The kitchen is tiny - basically 9' square. Most of the design was on the fly, but we took our time choosing color and texture that kept it open and warm.. I love natural wood and stone, but gambled on the stainless for a more modern look...............it works! We were shooting for simple and elegant.........I think we hit it pretty close. I am beyond pleased with the way it has worked out.

It will be great to see your Pub in progress.

Thanks, Peachhead, but I can't take credit for it all. I had help with the sheet rock and electric. The cabinets and floor were professionally installed. The rest was my very own sweat equity.......:rotflmao:

Thanks, Algonquin! It's been a LONG two months and I'm very happy it's finished...............but I walk into it thinking I'm in someone else's kitchen.....:rotflmao:
