New Members

I don't go into all of the sections, so my perception could be wrong. I've noticed a lot of new members at the bottom of the home page every day, but I never see 1) them introduce themselves or 2) post in any of the sections I've been in. Since I don't keep a log, it might be that I am missing the posts.

Is it me or has anyone else noticed it? Or am I the only one that looks at the bottom of the home page?

Some of them are spamers and get weeded out by thefret police.

Otherwise, please introduce yourselves in the fret players forum.

They are mostly spammers, and in order to keep this place spam-free and pleasant, I delete them faster than you can say, uhhmm.... canned meat product!

I can feel your pain. At friends forum that I admin for, I'm forever deleting porn and pill spammers. It gets quite tedious at times!!! My IP and email addy ban list has tons and tons of entries.

As Spud said, we encourage everyone to introduce themselves in the fretplayer's forum.
Some will only jump on board to promote themselves, others only want to sell something, and there are others who are spammers with disgusting names and games.
Hey!!! These guys are the best new band to come on the scene in years!!!
I saw them just last weekend and they blew everyone away!!! I have no personal interest in this whatsoever, but I sincerely hope that EVERYONE here will help promote them. Just listen to how GREAT THEY SOUND!!!

Robert is one of the most easy going gunslingers I've seen on the web, and I can't imagine how he can keep up with all of the braggerts, salesmen, porno shops, promoters, etc.

On the other hand, there are WAY more good folks here than bad, and it's obvious.
Ya just won't see too many "new members" named "wantsitbad" or "sexyfun"
at the bottom of the screen a week or two later with "Contributing Member" listed along side their name (especially with posts related to music, guitar in particular).......

Hmmm, the things that go on behind the scenes, I never realized that there was so much of that to deal with. Well Robert, that explains the waiting period I questioned in one of my PM's.

As for Shiners comment, tell him it's soft core and he'll calm down.
