Toss up....Used Line 6 XT Floorpod or Steiney (I don't know why either...I just want one). Either way I'm dead as soon as the wife sees it. Good thing I ran out of money for now. Next spring though.........hmmmmmm could hide em in the closet and ...........

The Wildkat and Gretsch threads have me  but I'm tapped right now  So maybe I'll just swap in some GFS Retrotron p'ups on my Washburn HB and call it a day ;) Might drop a Lil Killer bridge p'up in my Strat too.

I would also like to get a pedal case to house my GNX3000.

And I want to set up a little home recording studio DAW.

That should do it for now :D

EDIT: Oh, and I saw a 74 Deluxe or maybe it was a Twin Reverb on Kijiji for $650... oh my wife would kill me :saw:

"Shadowland" - Peter Straub
"The Hephaestus Plague" - Thomas Page
"Colossus and the Crab" - D.F. Jones (to complete the Colossus trilogy: "The Forbin Project" & "The Fall of Colossus")
"A Separate Reality" & "Journey to Ixtlan" (A couple gone missing from my Carlos Castaneda collection)

Hard part is finding signed, first editions!

Very cool Rocket! I have Journey to Ixtlan, A Separate Reality, Tales of Power and The Second Ring of Power. None of them signed though.:D Got into Carlos when I was working on a Ph.D. in phenomenology of religion. Never finished the Ph.D., but I still have the books.

(sorry for the hijack Strum, thought they might be music books)

I've been reading Castaneda since 71. I got him to sign my collection at a San Diego book signing in 94. I've lost those two since then... wouldn't it be appropriate if I was buying back my missing pair?

Haha! Thats so funny...Don Juan books kinda say alot about a person(hehe).
I read some Carlos back in my late teens when I was into mushrooms :D
I probably wasnt supposed to mention all that though, huh?

It is what it is.
Actually we have many things in common not at all akin to organic substance ingestion... more related to anthropology, human nature, and writing.

...suddenly Im reminded that Ive still got much to learn.
But Id recommend "the Alchemist" or "Celestine Prophicies" if you havent read them, although not written by Carlos they are similar in some reguards and different in others.

I enjoyed the Celestine books. They really left some serious concepts in my noggin. Fortunately these were found at the local library so I didn't have to purchase them (just to stay on topic :) ).

Hahaha...when I had read the previous post (and all the others) I had totally forgotten the subject of this thread...

To kick it back in the direction I suppose it was supposed to go from the beginning, I'm pretty sure my next purchase will be an amp.

I am almost certain it will be the Egnater Rebel http://www.egnateramps.com/Rebel20.html which looks very interesting to me.

Interesting amp...but where can you buy that model at? And how much does it sell for.
FWIW, at the bottom of that page(the link) it says "Buy it" I clicked on that and it gives you 4 links, none of those 4 links show that model(or price)...I googled it and all I find are forums where people are talking about it, but still no vendor selling it.

Suddenly Im feelin a pair of these in my near future:

I don't know if they carry that one in particular but I know Guitar Center has been carrying Eganator amps.

The Egnater Rebel is not in the stores yet but I believe it will be sold by the vendors linked to on the homepage.

I think I read that it will be around $500-600 for the head and $250 for the cabinet.

On this link is says "Shipping september"

I've got to cool it for a little while...

After the two dozen red roses (plus one pink one), the Champagne, and a pair of diamond earings I just bought my wife for our 25th anniversary, I'm a little tapped out for a bit....:o

She's worth it though....:AOK:

The next guitar-related thing for me to buy is a Telecaster neck. I bought the rest of a a Squier Affinity on ebay for £40 delivered.:D

Speaking of which, is there a difference in size between the Fender and Squier neck pockets?

I need to sell some stuff on Craiglist first...but Im thinkin a used Blues Jr or a Boss RC-20XL Loop Station. But Im thinkin I need the Loop Station more than I need another amp and I think itd help me alot with my rythmn, leads and help me advance to another level...whereas I feel Im in kind of a rut without it.

I got the Loopstation today!:bravo:
Been doin pretty well on the Craigslist, got some extra cash, made for a nice early birthday gift to mahself...I always buy mahself the best gifts

Now if only I knew how to use this damn thing!:thwap:

I've been on a pedal buying binge lately.

Last week I got a Boss RV-5 Digital Reverb, CE-5 Stereo, and MD-2 Mega Distortion from Guitar Center. I got a BCB-30 pedal board to house them in and a PSA-120S adapter to save on batteries.

Next up will be another BCB-30/PSA-120S, a Boss Digital Delay and a Metal Zone or Metal Core for those evil metal sounds :dude:

I'm also waiting on a Tri-Boost kit from BYOC that I got for my birthday.

I've also got a couple of amp projects on the back burner, including a gutted Marshall Lead 12 with a tube circuit built in, and a scratch-built 18watter.

tung

My Airbrake will be delivered this Wednesday. Can't wait to wind out the power section of my Dr. Z amp!

Not really my purchase, but my son will very likely be getting a Peavey Vyper (30 watt version) by his birthday around the middle of September. (I may be more excited than he is, though he is plenty excited. ;) )

I'd love to hear more about Egnator.

Their Mod 50 sounds very interesting.
