Well, I did it. The guy at the guitar store offered me a really good deal on my Telecaster so I traded it in for the 1994 (I believe) G&L Legacy USA with a hard case! It's my first American-made electric. There is only the slightest signs of use on it. I'd call it mint condition. The only issues are that a) it has fret sprout, and b) it doesn't have a trem arm. I'm setting up an appointment with my luthier about the frets and I ordered a Hipshot 1/4" arm off Reverb.
I really like the second tone knob that basically acts like a passive bass control on an amp. It allows for a lot of tonal sculpting. Plus the bridge pickup is always running through the tone stack so it isn't ice picky (although it can get close if you roll off the second tone).
