I just got in my new Silver Creek T-160. I must say...this one is every bit as nice as the D-170. The smaller
000 size and the mahog back and sides does give it a brighter, louder, chimey sound. At this point it would be
hard to pick a "favorite" between the two. I'm VERY pleased with both and can't recommend them enough, for
what they are, an eye pleasing, low cost acoustic, with great craftsmanship, and a great sound! :thumbsup
One thing I have done for both guitars, to set off the beautiful MOP and abolone inlay in the headstock, I replaced
the bridge pins with THESE. As an added bonus, they may or may not enhance the sound just the tiniest bit.
*NOTE* On both guitars, the fretboards were very dry. Be sure and give them a good drink first thing.
