Much as I tried to resist the urge, I've helped myself to, yet another, acoustic; Tak G406S which arrived today. I decided to justify #12 as it is the non-dread, non-jumbo, non-juiced which I don't already have.

Specs:
Body Shape: FXC/New Yorker
Rosette: Abalone
Top: Solid Spruce
Inlays: Abalone
Back: 3-Pc Rosewood / Quilted Maple
Sides: Rosewood
Fingerboard: Rosewood
Tuners: Gold
Features: Small body. Huge tone. Stunning good looks.

Note to Robert: I bought it through the forum zZounds link.
I'll review it after I've had a chance to thoroughly check it out.

Wow! Stunning looks!

Edit: Sorry to be echoing the prepared text - I just saw it ...

Anyway, it IS beautiful - is that kind of a parlor size?

Not parlor... it's a 25-1/2" scale length 00-14.

[For Shiner]
It's standard 25-1/2" scale length as opposed to a more Gibson-like 24-3/4" scale length.

It's a Martin 00 sized body with neck joined at the 14th fret, (known in Martin-world as "Grand Concert".)
(000-14 is known as "Auditorium", 0M-14 is known as "Orchestra Model".)

Congrats, Rocket ;)

Nice little guitar in this newer series from Tak, you got yourself, there. :AOK: My LGS, Tak dealer, just got an EG363SC in that I saw and tried out last weekend. Single cut dreadnaught, 'juiced'...same body/top woods, 3-piece rose/maple back, headstock with the maple veneer inset, natural wood bindings.

The position market inlay at the 12th fret in this series...oh, my  ...when you get the chance at some pics, please post one of that subtly mesmerizing little bit of artistry that Tak does so well.

I think you're referring to this:

...but mine doesn't have that... just abalone diamond inlays.

Yeah...that's it...geez...I thought it would be on yours, too, it's pretty 'faint' even in person, and I guess I 'willed' it to appear on the stcok pic of yours ...oops.:o

If it plays half as nice as it looks, you've got a really winner there.
