How do you manage to get the drums to sound so dynamic? Are they loops, or do you program them in?

You need to do a recording primer for all us noobs that don't know how!

Thanks so much for your comments. The drums and percussion are all programed by me in step time and I spend lots of time EQing and compressing them to round out the sound. I use Logic Pro 7 software on a Mac G5. Logic has a definite learning curve but once you get the basics down it is definitely worth the effort to learn. The software is incredible with all it's versatility and possibilities. Thanks again.
