Not into Jazz

The vibrato speed on that song seems a little slow for the tune. He uses a Fulltone Deja Vibe which sounds really really good in person. The video doesn't do the effect justice. I like the Larry Carlton type jazz myself.

You may find you need to give yourself some time listening to jazz. I didn't like it in the beginning, but the more I listened, the more interesting it became.

I recommend you learn some jazz standards (for example, Blue Bossa, All The Things You Are, etc) and then listen to some good cat rip one up.

You can learn so much musically by playing jazz, it's scary.

Couldn't agree more with everything Robert just said. Jazz is definitely an acquired taste, but once it grows on you, it's hard to figure out what it was you used to not like about it. I think what makes it such an obsession for me is that it requires a lot of analytical processing, and I'm the kind of person who enjoys constantly learning.
