Same bar, reshuffled set list with a couple of weak tunes pruned from it. The bar owner is expecting a big night tonight, so it looks like this will be major fun! :D

congrats....some pics at least would be nice....clips would be better....

don't really need a jacket much here in florida but a nice t-shirt or better yet special edition logo plaid shorts would be cool!! |_/\_| :AOK:

Sorry boys........................

Our media facilitator (my wife) sat this gig out at home, so I have no pics, clips. or nuttin'.

It was a good gig, however. The place was packed to the last note played and we had a good time. I'm going out tonight to talk to a couple of bar owners about playing. Time to do a little business................:D

It's definitely a smattering. :D

We're back to work this week working out some more tunes. We don't want to gig with the same set list more than once.

In the last band I was in with our bass player and drummer, we played the same exact set list for 5 years! We were hired guns and nothing more.

It's refreshing to be able to call the shots now.

Yeah great list!!

Do you have patches on your Johnson (cool it guyz ;)) to handle those different sounds? Pedals? Or do you just work the volume knob?

Awesome setlist Plank! How long are you sets (usually)? What time do you start playing and what time do you finish? Bar gigs around here are usually 10PM - 2AM. When we play wedding dances, cabarets etc. we start as early as 8:30 or 9PM and have been known to play until 4 :dude:

We're starting to smarten up though - gettin' old and all that - and try to shut 'er down by 2 - 2:30 in most cases.

Rawk on brother

I have patches on the Johnson for all of the sounds - and it's not as many patches as you would think. I mainly use these patches (all tweaked to my liking):

Hot Marshall

Clean JC120

A juiced up Fusion Boogie (for leads)

Hot Mesa

Hot / Clean Twin Reverb

I can edit the patches on the fly to add FX like a tremelo and I just punch out and back into the patch to restore the original. I run the entire amp from the floor with this foot controller:

The inboard pedal controls dynamic FX, the outboard pedal is a volume pedal. I can also select / deselect FX from it. I use a Crybaby wah as my only other pedal.

For the work I'm doing now, the Johnson is the shizzle! :D

Thanks!

The sets time out to about an hour each, with a 20 minute break between them. Most bars I've played here have the band start at 9 and finish at 1.
