Back in the early 60's when groups first like The Rolling stones came along they would always say that there music was influenced by some of the old blues masters. When The Beatles first hit the shores they would say they were influenced by Elvis, Little Richard, Buddy Holly, Jerry Lee Lewis and many of the 50's rock-n-roll stars - of which a lot had been influenced by the blues.

Back then I had no clue what the blues were and just as clueless as to the artist that were considered blues artists. I paid no mind to the roots, I just enjoyed the music of the day that had its roots in the blues.

Well here it is years later (far too many years) and I keep digging up blues artist of years ago and ones from not so long ago. Here is some recent finds, some you may know, others you may not.

I hope you enjoy as I take a break from practice in my pursuit to emulate some of these great blues players and composers.
