?? on wiring a 2x12 cab (need advice)

Wondering how the speakers react and what change in sound happens (if any) when wiring two speakers in a cabinet either in parallel or series. I understand how the wiring affects the resistance combined ohm rating of the cab when combined but would it make a difference tonally?

Understand the series-parallel differences when wiring or combining 2 pickups together but can't seem to grasp what tonally the different schemes would make in a cab.
