Maybe this can be useful for you?
This is a great "chord shape" you can use to come up with nice sounding chord voicings. These sound great for chord progressions with a clean sound. It's just a power chord with the bottom 2 strings ringing open. Example tune that does this a lot - Let It Rain by Amanda Marshall.
