Who knew that playing guitar is so addicting ??

I've been having serious bouts of pain in my back and that includes my neck & shoulders. So far I had two injections in my lower back and an injection in my right shoulder. Yesterday I had an MRI done to my neck and shoulder area. Right now my lower feel great but still suffer pain in my neck and shoulders. The injection in my right shoulder didn't help much though.

Now I have to wait til 8-12 to see my doctor and find out what's the deal. In the meantime I'm trying to play my guitar but it just makes me hurt so I gotta put it down.

I tell you, it sucked.

Hey kiteman, I can relate to the back pain. I hope you get to the bottom of it and feel better soon.

It's all because years ago some A**H*** T-boned me at the corner when I was making a turn. Didn't have problem playing my guitar then but it's become a struggle. Guess I'm getting old.

I suffered from heavy pain in my back and I knew it came from guitar playing. When I satrted working out it disappeared "forever". Haven't had any issues since 2 years, also when gigging with my 9.5lbs Les Paul.
Cross my fingers for you, everything's gonna be alright.

I have exercises as prescribed by the doctors but it's not much help. When I have chronic pains it stays and I take meds for it. The injections are for the worse spots, they help and they're new procedures that lasts a long time. The old procedures sucked, don't last and I've been turning them down.

I'm 61 and don't want to feel it. I wanna stay young. :)

Kiteman, I too have had back and shoulder problems , the best help I got was from my Chiropractor and Arthritis Tylenol if I need after mowing grass. I'm near 56 and I know about the feeling part, so I sit down and play "FOREVER YOUNG" by a fellow named Bob Dylan.

It'll probably be easier for me to play softer songs and take it easy.

Nope, can't do that. :dance
