When I was a kid my parents made a deal with me, that if I wanted something expensive that they would match my saved funds towards the purchase...when I was 12 I told my Dad I wanted a guitar, and naturally they told me to save my money...I spotted an affordable electric guitar at our local music store and within no time Id saved enough and she was mine!

The guitar was a transparent candy apple red Palmer with one humbucker, one maybe two knobs, Strat shape with nice contours.

Within that year it was obvious that I was really taking to playing guitar, I took leasons and everything...it occupied almost all of my time. That following Christmas my recently divorced parents got me a new Ibanez and a Peavey amp(waaay too big)...the new gear prompted me to get rid of my first, and to this day I still regret it! I still kinda own the Ibanez, I gave it back to my dad after getting my Tele, but he doesnt play it and it just sits on a stand...

BUT I want another PALMER!!! And not just any Palmer, I want one similar to my "first". Ive searched Google, Ebay and the like...but Im not finding much. The other day I found a site that carries/handles Palmer, but it sounds as if Palmer was just an importer and that theyd slap thier names on just about anything.

What I dont get is, what happens to all the old guitars??? Why is it I cant find many of these Palmers???

As you can tell, I really want another one...any ideas?

If you found a Palmer electric or acoustic guitar on eBay or some other source you might be asking 'Who makes Palmer guitars', and the answer is that there is no Palmer Guitar Company.

When manufacturers and suppliers enter into a contract to build to specifications the name goes on the instrument. Palmers are manufactured in this manner to high quality standards with quality components

Some Palmers have the patented Floyd Rose system with locking bridge. The quality is outstanding compared to guitars sold by some other manufacturers, and on par with Jackson and Schecter. The neck of our Jackson DK2 is smoother than the neck of our Palmer Curly Maple Les Paul style but both play equally well, although the Jackson is lighter.

Palmers are all over Ebay.
Do an advanced search and search the entire text not just the titles. I see them all the time.

I hadnt tried the Cragislist until now...Ive been searching Ebay...guess I will have to stay consistant at that if I hope to score one.

Just a lil update...I noticed the other day that my favorite local small mom n pop music store now carries Palmer guitars...they had a souple of Squier Bullet lookin Palmers hanging on the wall for sale, I inquired about them and he informed me that they were a Palmer dealer...and hes now in the process of getting me a catalog

Wow that Jazz Bass lookin' thing on their Ebay store is nice and it's cheap as hell. If I didn't already have one I'd get that.
