Picked up an SM58

[Glacies]

with the X2u USB converter to help me with some of the tracks I've been recording lately. Never had a pro-grade mic, if you can call it that. I'm told it will be the only thing that survives after a nuclear detonation.

So far I'm impressed with my vocal tracks in comparison to what I was using before, but there's a lot more I need to understand about it and recording in general, so I'm taking that trip.

Cool. I don't know a ton about mics, but the SM58 is decent-at-worst and very reliable. If you do any recording it's good to have one available.
