Price increase on winged C 6L6GC?

I was browsing on tube depot and I noticed the price on the SED winged C 6L6GC tubes are $89 for a matched pair. I bought mine a month or so ago for $44.95.

I haven't noticed any other tube price increases though because I haven't followed it but this surprised me.

I'm glad I got mine.

That's crazy.
I see they're a little more reasonable at $60 a pair over at Doug's...and from Mike at KCA.
Have you tried the Tung Sol Reissue 6L6GC? Mike says they're formidable competition for the SED.
In fact, I was reading a thread about this very topic (Tung Sol vs. =C= 6L6) over at the "other gear page". Check it out if you are so inclined.

You know what, I've just read about it and yea, a set to check out.

Gonna be a while before I do it (if I do) as I already have a set of Rubys, GT CHPs, and the SEDs (in the amp). Very little hours on them. The SEDs are sounding real good and I have them slighly over 50% dissipation at idle, airy.
